1 article for "30°-Arc Directions"

30°-Arc Directions [Prima]

One of several methods of directions.

30°-Arc Directions are a type of symbolic directions calculated by equating one full sign of the zodiac (30°) to each year of life. Parts of a year are computed as proportional fractions of the 30° arc, and all house cusps can be either directed by the same arc or derived from the directed midheaven (see cusp type).

By equating one year with one zodiac sign, we are projecting the natural zodiacal development cycle onto life development. Thus the technique of 30° direction allows you to use zodiacal symbolism for analysis of the 12-year life cycle.
