Arctic Circle [Astro*Index]A circle of latitude whose distance from the North Geographic Pole is equal to the tilt or inclination of the Earth's axis from a normal to the plane of the Ecliptic. This geographic latitude is North 66°33'(= 90° - 23°27'). The Arctic Circle defines the northern region which experiences 24 hours of daylight or darkness.
