Hypothetical Planet [Astro*Index]Refers to imaginary bodies whose. proposed positions have not been confirmed by observation. They fall into three groups: Inter-Mercurial bodies, such as Vulcan, that are nearer to the Sun than Mercury; Trans- Plutonian bodies, beyond the orbit of Pluto; and several moons, such as Lilith, "the Earth's dark Moon." Ephemerides have been published for them.
