Imum Coeli   IC [Astro*Index]

(L, bottom of the sky)

The zodiacal point opposite Medium Coeli, or the Midheaven (MC), where the ecliptic interesects the meridian below the horizon. Not to be confused with nadir.

The lowest heaven, the North Angle or cusp of the Fourth House. v. Midheaven; Celestial sphere.

A point in space formed by the intersection of the Ecliptic and the Meridian in the South. That point which is 180 degrees from the MC. A point usually taken as the fourth house cusp.
