1 article for "Seasons"
Seasons [Astro*Index]The four common divisions of the year: spring, summer, fall, and winter.
They are marked by the equinoxes and solstices. Seasons are primarily caused by the tilt of the Earth on its axis relative to the Ecliptic. This causes a point on the Earth to have daylight periods of various length throughout the year. Because of this, a location recieves varying amounts of sunlight, which, in turn, affects the climate.
