The angular distance a body or point moves in one day calculated by subtracting a body's position as listed in an ephemeris from the next day's position as listed in the ephemeris. For example, if the Moon's position is Taurus 15°19' on the first, and Taurus 27°51' on the second, then its daily motion would be +12°32' for that day.
