Hour Angle [Astro*Index]

Angle measured westward along the celestial equator from the upper meridian to the hour angle through a given body.

The angle formed between the Celestial Meridian andthe Hour Circle of a Body measured Westward (Clockwise) along the Celestial Equator from the Observer's Meridian.

A type of astrological chart which shows the right ascension and declination of bodies. Used in mundane astrology.

A great semicircle which passes through a given point and the North and South celestial poles. Hour circles are perpendicular to the celestial equator.

Hour Circle [Munkasey M.]

A great circle which passes through the Celestial Poles, perpendicular to the Celestial Equator, and through a particular body in space. The hour circle of the body moves with the body through space.
