Marduk [Astro*Index]God of old Babylon identified with Enlil, mainly associated with magicians (as in combating demons), also with Jupiter, the largest of the planets. A god with solar as opposed to lunar qualities. Original name Asar-alim (Asaru) shows a combination of the old mythical fish-ram (a father symbol and reminiscent of the seagoat associated with Capricorn) and ceremonial purification.
