Partial Lunar Eclipse [Astro*Index]An eclipse of the Moon. Occurs at Full Moon, when the Moon's latitude is such that only part of its disk is obscured by the shadow of the Earth.

♦ Full Moon
An eclipse of the Sun that occurs when the Moon's disk does not totally obscure the Sun. This often occurs during a total eclipse, from the viewpoint of observers who are outside the path of the Moon's umbra, but still within the track of the Moon's penumbra.
