Prince William (William Arthur Philip Louis)

Prince William Wears White heralds the headline in the Los Angeles Times, showing a radiant Princess Diane cradling her new-born son in her arms, while Prince Charles looks on with an approving grin. The newest jewl in the British crown was born on June 21, 1982 at 9:03 p.m. British Summer Time, according to the official notice posted at Buckingham Palace. After a few days, his official names were finally announced as William Arthur Philip Louis, with a hint from the queen that "Willy" or "Bill" are undesireable.
Prince William may turn out to be "Prince Charming." His Sun and Moon conjunction in Cancer will give him much sensitivity and a caring attitude. His Sagittarian Ascendant, with the chart ruler Jupiter in the 9th house in Scorpio, gives him a breezy, yet feeling demeanor. People will think of him as charming, warm and lovable, particularly since Neptune conjuncts his Ascendant. This planet of mystery, glamor and charisma enables the little prince to appear in many guises and choose the role he wishes to play. As he can fool others, he of course can also fool himself!
His final signature is Libra (5 cardinal and 4 planets in air), confirming [his] charm and ease in handling people. This ability of pleasing others and need to relate to a partner or the public at large can also be seen in the 7th house placement of the luminaries.
Befitting his position in life, the little prince has 8 planets above the horizon and 8 planets west of the meridian: he’ll live a very public life, with other people pulling the strings. Also very "regal" is the conjunction of Jupiter and Pluto near the Midheaven, highest planets in the chart, indicative of a leader and someone who desires to be special.
Prince William is not very ambitious; the Moon to Mars is the only square in his horoscope, making him overly sensitive and therefore defensive. This could manifest as emotional outbursts or temper tantrums in his childhood, especially as the Moon is also inconjunct (quincunx) to Uranus.
In fact one of the outstanding configurations is a yod involving Venus inconjunct to Neptune and the Ascendant (idealistic, vulnerable, excessive) and to Pluto (drawn to the wrong people). Venus at nearly 26 Taurus sits on the fixed star Caput Algo[l], which, figuratively speaking, "makes you lose your head." This Venus is doubly interesting, since it conjuncts his grandmother’s (Queen Elizabeth) T-square.
Venus in Taurus in the 5th house indicates artistic leanings and talents in some of the tactile arts like painting, sculpting or photography, and we hope he will pursue th[ese], at least as a hobby.
The chart ruler, Jupiter is also important since, at 0 Scorpio, it fill his father’s T-square and continues the line of planets at 0 so prominent in the royal family. It also trines Prince William’s Sun and Moon, confirming the creative ability and giving him a cheerful but rather self-indulgent disposition.
We wish there was time for an in-depth delineation, but to sum up a few important aspects: Moon trine Jupiter, he’ll be very generous; trine the MC, he will adhere to past traditions in his leadership. Mercury trine Mars, he’ll be frank; trine Saturn, structured and practical, in Gemini in the 6th house, glib when necessary, good with executing routine matters. yet as a youngster, he may have some speech impediment, often found with Saturn conjunct Mars, the South Node in the 1st house and many quincunxes, necessitating lots of adjustments.
There are quite a few indications that our little prince will be "in love with love," yet a devoted and caring husband as he matures. Though restless (Uranus aspects), and often insecure (Sun opposition Ascendant), he is basically optimistic (Jupiter sextile Ascendant) and enjoys being with people. he will probably be adored by many and spoiled rotten by his nanny and most other females in his family. We wish him a happy and fulfilling life!
